Neteller payment processor changes name

Isle of Man-based online payment processor Neteller Plc has announced it will be changing its name next month.  NEOVIA Financial Plc will be the new name for Neteller, this change will differentiate it from its operating brands.  From November 2008, on the London Stock Exchange the popular e-wallet processor will be known by the share symbol ‘NEO’.

The NETELLER Plc Board of Directors agrees that this proposal is in the best interests of shareholders. Unanimously the Board recommends that shareholders vote in favour of the resolution.

NETELLER Plc stated no customer account will be affected at all by this change.  It is simply a brand name change, it has nothing to do with how things work for Neteller group.

Before the approval of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA), Neteller was the most popular online payment processor used in the online gambling industry.   Today is one of the most known and used processors, but since US casino players can’t use it anymore it is not the giant it used to be.  The British firm subsequently targeted European and Asian vendors in an attempt to make up the difference and stated that the new identity will distinguish the parent firm from its individual NETELLER, NETBANX and Net+ brands.

UIGEA has affected some processors like Neteller, who paid a $136 million fine.  In the other hand US casino players are always finding solutions in how to process their online gambling payments.  We encourage you to review our USA Online Casinos , where you could find a complete analysis of casinos accepting US casino players, where they could use a wide variety of online payment processors.
